Ministry of Culture and Tourism: Launching Tourism Routes Around National Cultural Parks such as the Great Wall
On February 22nd, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism issued a notice on promoting the deep integration and development of intangible cultural heritage and tourism.
The notice emphasizes supporting the organic integration of intangible cultural heritage display experiences and other content into existing tourism routes. Launch characteristic tourism routes for intangible cultural heritage, strengthen promotion and publicity, and play a typical driving and demonstration leading role. Support travel agencies and other tourism enterprises to cooperate with relevant inheritors at cultural ecological protection areas, intangible cultural heritage experience bases, characteristic scenic spots, characteristic villages and towns, and characteristic blocks, and cultivate a number of tourism routes that meet the needs of tourists and have distinct intangible cultural heritage characteristics. Support the launch of intangible cultural heritage characteristic tourism routes around traditional festivals, cultural and natural heritage days, and key intangible cultural heritage activities, as well as the construction of national cultural parks such as the Great Wall, Grand Canal, Long March, Yellow River, and Yangtze River.
